artist statement

I am drawn to the non-human: to a cold, pure, and dispassionate structure that exists independently of our gaze. I am interested in spaces where the human is present only as a trace or an error, never as a source of meaning or a cause.

In my photography, I work with the mechanics of estrangement, consistently removing the human from the frame and transforming the familiar environment into something alien. I am interested in the topology of the urban environment where the human ceases to be the center, and relations between objects exist independently of the observer.

My method involves the consistent and formal elimination of everything that prompts a habitual interpretation. I avoid narrative and psychologism to reveal the autonomy of the material. Relations between objects—concrete, metal, light, or digital texture—unfold beyond our understanding and control. What remains is the continuity and incompleteness of structures.

My optics are shaped by social anxiety, which sharpens sensitivity to the opacity and strangeness of the environment. It allows me to see topology without anthropocentrism.

Photography serves as a tool to suppress the reflex to explain and appropriate. I am interested in the state of disorientation, the moment when space ceases to be accessible for everyday reading and allows a fleeting glimpse of the Uncanny (Unheimlich).

My works resist the cultural demand to endow the world with meaning and emotion. They offer no anthropocentric comfort; instead, they capture a reality that is self-contained and does not require our presence.
